Full Report: Clinton Lake: Lake levels are up due to recent rainfall, but good for fishing.

CRAPPIE Slow: Fish have moved back out are suspended in approximately 10 feet of water near brush; lower a minnow or a jig tipped with a minnow.

BLUEGILL Good: Put wax worms or red wigglers under a bobber and cast near shallow weed lines or around docks.

WALLEYE Fair: Anglers finding some fish on the west side with crawlers, Lindy Rigs, or small crankbaits.

CHANNEL CATFISH Good: chicken liver, shrimp, shad, and stink bait are attracting attention near the banks.

STRIPED BASS Good: at the spillway with topwater lures , spoons, or cut carp. Slow success in the mail lake.

WHITE BASS Good: at the spillway with cut carp bait, spoons, or topwater lures; Slower in the lake.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: Levels and conditions are good for fishing. Water temperatures are 73.5 degrees at the beach. Beach admission was $1.00 - it is now $2.00.

CRAPPIE Fair: Fish are off beds for the most part; hitting on minnows and little crankbaits.

BLUEGILL Fair to Good: Look for fish with red wigglers and wax worms in 6 feet of water.

LARGEMOUTH BASS Fair to Good: Reported to be hitting on crankbaits and soft baits off the points and at the mouths of coves.

WHITE BASS Good: Anglers are picking them up anywhere on the lake with shiny spoons and twistertails.

CHANNEL CATFISH Good: Use anything smelly along the shorelines; liver, dip bait, and shrimp are favorites.

STRIPED BASS Good: Best early morning, later evenings, or cloudy conditions at the spillway.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: Water levels are at normal pool with surface temperature 70 degrees to 85 degrees on the east side and 58 degrees on the West side. Check out the fish at the spillway.

CRAPPIE Slow to Fair: Hit and miss due to the weather; but also some limits have been caught with minnows, creek jigs, and sliders.

WALLEYE Fair: Look for fish deep with worm rigs and minnows.

LARGEMOUTH BASS Good: Two fish over 5 pounds were reported this past week; anglers using rattlers and spinners; Mascoutah Boat Ramp is a hot spot.

CHANNEL CATFISH Good: The hot water areas are best with minnows; shad and night crawlers are also favorite baits. An angler reported catching 19 this past week with shrimp.

WHITE BASS Good: Fish are hitting on spoons, white twister tails and chartruese twister tails.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: WATER CONDITIONS: Good for fishing!

CRAPPIE Good: Fishermen are successful using minnows in five feet of water. The area between DeWitt and the 48 bridge is best.

LARGEMOUTH BASS Fair: Look for warmer water areas; anglers using lures with rattles; imitation fish lures best.

WALLEYE Good: Minnows and night crawlers are the bait of choice in the Mascoutah area; night crawlers and orange twisters are being used at the spillway.

CHANNEL CATFISH Good: Fish are being taken from the hot water area with shad, shad guts, and some on stink bait.

STRIPED BASS Spotty: Finding a few fish at the Spillway with topwater lures, when the water is cloudy. Also using cut carp.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: WATER CONDITIONS: Water levels are at normal pool. Rainfall received recently in this area.

CRAPPIE Fair to Good: Best if you fish early mornings. Fish are coming up into the shallows during the early mornings off the points. Offer a jig and minnow.

BLUEGILL Good: The coves are producing on big worms and wax worms under a bobber.

WHITE BASS Good: Lots! Cast crome spoons or white twister tails off the points.

CHANNEL CATFISH Good: Anglers have been successful with night crawlers and cheesebait around the edges.

LARGEMOUTH BASS Good: Crankbaits, plastic lures, jigs, and jumbo worms are popular this week.

STRIPED BASS Fair to Good: Look for fish below the spillway with topwater lures or cut bait.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: WATER CONDITIONS: The water level is down a little; clarity is o.k. for fishing. Hot temperatures continue to slow down fishing activities.

FISH: Crappie ... Fair; Some fish have been caught in 8 feet of water with minnows.

FISH: Bluegill ... Fair to Good; Nice sized fish are being caught around the dock areas and weed lines with wax worms. Fun for kids!

FISH: Hybrid Striped Bass ... Fair; Many anglers succesful below the spillway with spoons or twister tails.

FISH: Largemouth Bass ... Fair; Anglers using plastics and spinners baits near timber and weeds beds.

FISH: Walleye ... Fair; Anglers report catching fish by trolling the flats with night crawlers.

FISH: Channel Catfish ... Good; Fish biting on shad guts, dip bait, and shrimp along the bridges.

FISH: Flathead Catfish ... Good; Look for fish near the rocky areas

FISH: White Bass ... Fair; Many fishermen successful with a jig and twister tail near the spillway; mornings best.

FISH: Carp ... Good; Nice sized fish being caught with night crawlers or corn near the spillway.

Full Report: Clinton Lake: WATER CONDITIONS: The surface water temperatures are 55 degrees in the coves and warmer up the hot water ditch.

FISH: Crappie ... Good; Look for fish around the De Witt Bridge with minow; up to 13 & 14 inch fish brougnt in.

FISH: Hybrid Striped Bass ... Good; Big ones! Anglers are successful catching fish with artifical lures below the spillway.

FISH: Largemouth Bass ... Good; Almost any lure; crankbaits, spinnerbaits, Rapala's, plastic articifial worms, and night crawlers being used.

FISH: Catfish ... Good; Fish are being reeled in from the hot water area with bank lines baited with stink bait and chicken livers.

NOTE: 200 High School Students fished in a bass tournament at the lake last Saturday. They had good catches for the weather that day.

NOTE: The hot water arm between DeWitt and the 48 bridge has re-opened to fishing.
