Full Report: Jumbo Reservoir - The water level has dropped 2 feet. Fishing has been slow, but some anglers are catching a few walleye, trout, catfish and crappie. Jumbo requires an annual fishing/hunting license, or an annual state wildlife access permit to enter Jumbo, per person ages 19 to 64. The minimum size for walleye & wipers is 15 inches.

A few trout are being caught with PowerBait. The boat dock is now installed at Jumbo and ready for use. Full Report: Jumbo Reservoir - The reservoir is full. Surface water temperature is approximately 43 degrees as of the morning of Saturday, April 27. There was a nice 18-lb wiper taken weekend of April 13. Fishing has picked up with the warmer temperatures. On Saturday, there were several people out and having great success catching wipers and walleye. There were approximately 4,500 catchable trout about 10-inches long stocked on April 12.

Full Report: Jumbo Reservoir - As of 3/6/2013 very little ice remained. The boat ramp will open for the season as soon as the reservoir is ice-free. During March the ramp will be open on Thursday through Monday from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset. Beginning in April the ramp will be open seven days per week from ½ hour before sunrise to ½ hour after sunset.

Full Report: Jumbo Reservoir - As of 2/2/2013 ice was 6” thick. Due to the warm weather recently ice conditions may change quickly, so please use extra caution when venturing out onto the lake. Ice fishing for walleye has been good, and a few channel catfish and crappie are being caught as well.
